Located in the province of Yariguíes in the department of Santander, the municipality of San Vicente de Chucurí covers an area of ​​1,195.41 km² and is made up of 37 districts. It borders the municipalities of Barrancabermeja and Betulia to the north; Zapatoca and Betulia to the east; Carmen de Chucurí and Simacota to the south; and Simacota and Barrancabermeja to the west.

Located in the Bellavista area, in San Alberto, in the department of Cesar, with an altitude that varies from 700 to 1000 m above sea level, with temperatures of 24° - 32°C, and an average annual rainfall of 2131 mm, its soils have good drainage, and its current use is for forestry, having commercial forest plantations there, its topography is characterized by being semi-undulating to undulating.
